A charming and popular specialist primary school in Rochdale is seeking a caring, dedicated, and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team from January 2026. This full-time, long-term role is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils with EHCPs who require individualised support.

About the Role

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs across the school day. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs
Assisting the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons
Helping children develop confidence, communication skills, and independence
Creating a warm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and wider school teams

What We're Looking For

✔ Experience in a specialist education, school, nursery, or care setting
✔ A proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
✔ Patience, resilience, and commitment to creating a positive learning environment
✔ A Psychology degree or Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
