Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will set up and operate high‑speed equipment with robotic elements to form or cut steel to specified dimensions and specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Observe all safety and LOTO rules.
  • Advanced set up and calibration of all equipment.
  • Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after running material.
  • Record and report any deficiencies in quality to the supervisor/quality department.
  • Maintain equipment tooling and tools necessary for job completion.
  • Diagnose equipment and quality problems while keeping scrap and delays to a minimum.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Complete reports related to production, changeovers, and scrap material.
  • Assist maintenance in repairs and PM of equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and write English and to maintain production records and logs.
  • Manufacturing or related industrial experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, decimals, fractions).
  • Experience with measuring devices such as tape measure, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Ability to operate forklift, crane and any other equipment necessary for the job.
  • Detail oriented and able to work independently.
  • Regular, full‑time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule (essential function).
  • Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.
Physical Abilities
  • Move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles without fatigue; good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
  • Remain in a stationary position for several hours.
  • Lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling as required.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Stand for 10–12 hours.
  • Perform work in a plant/manufacturing environment.
  • Other physical requirements as needed for the job.

The compensation for this role is $24/hr plus a production incentive bonus.
