Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex technical tasks which usually represent a significant portion of a larger project.
• Generate recommendations and conclusions for product improvements with minimal guidance.
• Achieve results using technical techniques and judgment.
• Ensure completion of assigned projects within budget, time and cost constraints.
• Coordinate work with other engineers and operating groups.
• Direct preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
• Provide technical counsel and assistance to less experienced employees.
• Oversee activities of technicians and designers.
• Personal development.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or equivalent work experience.
• Focused technical knowledge, usually acquired by a minimum of 2+ year’s related experience or a master’s degree in engineering or science.
• Multi-threading experience with Java. (Threading and synchronization techniques in C++ would be a sufficient substitute for this.)
• Experience developing with Eclipse using Java.
• Understanding of computer networks (such as TCP/IP) or development with other communication protocols.
• Ability to speak and present work in front of customer and participate in requirements analysis and design discussions.
• Experience in vehicle communications protocols is preferred.
