Job DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities
- Perform moderately complex technical tasks which usually represent a significant portion of a larger project.
- Generate recommendations and conclusions for product improvements with minimal guidance.
- Achieve results using technical techniques and judgment.
- Ensure completion of assigned projects within budget, time and cost constraints.
- Coordinate work with other engineers and operating groups.
- Direct preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
- Provide technical counsel and assistance to less experienced employees.
- Oversee activities of technicians and designers.
- Personal development.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or equivalent work experience.
- Focused technical knowledge, usually acquired by a minimum of 2+ year’s related experience or a master’s degree in engineering or science.
- Multi-threading experience with Java. (Threading and synchronization techniques in C++ would be a sufficient substitute for this.)
- Experience developing with Eclipse using Java.
- Understanding of computer networks (such as TCP/IP) or development with other communication protocols.
- Ability to speak and present work in front of customer and participate in requirements analysis and design discussions.
- Experience in vehicle communications protocols is preferred.
