• Maintain lab cleanliness and organization.
• Wash dishes and sterilize materials (autoclaving).
• Prepare buffers, media, reagents, and other materials for experiments.
• Assist with general laboratory procedures which may include: yeast cell culture, yeast strain construction, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), agarose gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, and western blotting (training will be provided).
• Support graduate students and the PI in routine laboratory experiments.

• The ideal candidate will be a biology, biomedical sciences, or biochemistry major.
• Previous lab experience (including lab course-related experience) in biology and/or biochemistry is a plus but not required.
• Willlingness to work in a wet lab biomedical research environment.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in biomedical research. Hours are flexible based on your class schedule.
