General Summary / Primary FunctionThe Senior (Sr.) Application Analyst participates in the overall design, implementation, training, documentation, operation, and support of clinical or business applications and reports. The role contributes to the planning, design, implementation, and optimization of specific applications, taking general direction from supervisors or managers. The Sr. Application Analyst may serve as a Helios liaison to associated clinical or business departments throughout the system, assessing optimization efforts to meet system goals including patient safety, quality of care, revenue capture, and efficient operations.
Education/ Experience Required
- Associates Degree / two (2) years of college required;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - More than two years of strong experience in technical or clinical roles:
- Technical experience: strong knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art engineering approaches in design, build, testing, debugging, and ongoing technical support; ability to articulate past workflows and processes associated with IT experience.
- Clinical experience: strong knowledge/experience in clinical workflows and processes; ability to articulate past workflows and processes integrated with IT solutions.
- Epic accreditation or certification in a designated application is required. Candidates may be hired without accreditation or certification but must attain it within the first 6 months of hire to continue employment.
