Job Description & How to Apply Below
This role is responsible for independently programming, setting up, proving out and troubleshooting CNC milling jobs while consistently meeting quality, safety, delivery, and production requirements. The CNC Programmer will support machining operations across all shifts, working closely with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure programs, tooling, setups, and work instructions are ready for efficient and repeatable production. This position will help resolve machining and process issues, support operator training, and provide technical guidance to maintain workflow, minimize downtime, and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Tebis, Power Mill, Siemens NX CAM, Mastercam, or similar CAM software.

Select tooling, holders, work holding, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies based on material, tolerances, part geometry, finish requirements, and machine capability.

Independently set up, prove out, and complete CNC milling jobs, including fixtures, tooling, offsets, program loading, first-piece verification, and in-process inspection.

Program and support roughing, finishing, drilling, contouring, pocketing, and 3-axis or 5-axis machining operations.

Operate and monitor multiple CNC machines as workload and job complexity allow.

Troubleshoot programming, tooling, fixture, machine-operation, and quality issues; make approved adjustments and escalate concerns as needed.

Use heat-shrink tooling equipment and maintain tools, fixtures, machines, and a clean work area.

Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, GD&T, work instructions, and inspection requirements.

Document job time, setups, program changes, tooling, and inspection activity daily.

Train and support other employees on CNC operation, setup, quality, safety, and troubleshooting practices.

Follow all Company policies, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and safety standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.
5–8 years of CNC programming, setup, and milling experience in a precision manufacturing environment supporting aerospace, automotive, defense, consumer products, and other complex production applications.

High school diploma or GED required. Additional education or professional development in CNC machining, precision manufacturing, machining technology, CAD/CAM, or a related field is highly preferred, including completion of an apprenticeship, trade-school program, technical certificate, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree.

Experience with Tebis, Power Mill, Siemens NX CAM, Mastercam, or comparable CAM software.

Hands-on CNC mill experience with Haas, Hermle, YCM, Kitamura, Bavius, Makino, Tri Mill, Fooke, Starrag, or similar equipment.

Working knowledge of Heidenhain, Fanuc, Mazak/Mazatrol, Siemens, Haas or similar controllers.

Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds and speeds, work holding, cutter paths, offsets, tolerances, and machining strategies.

Ability to work independently, solve technical machining issues, and support training of less-experienced employees.
