Registered Nurse
- Ambulatory Reproductive Medicine (Full-Time) Days-Rochester Hills
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.
The Henry Ford Center for Reproductive Medicine in Rochester Hills addresses all aspects of infertility from diagnostic evaluation to state-of-the-art treatment approaches, all at one location. We work with you and your partner to diagnose the causes of infertility, and consider all available options to help achieve a healthy and successful pregnancy.
Location: Rochester Hills Center for Reproductive Medicine (May be scheduled at the Troy location as needed)
Education/Experience
Required:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
- Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
- Preferred experience in the specialty.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Familiarity with IVF cycles, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
- The ability to accurately assess ultrasound and lab work results in relationship to fertility care.
- Proficiency in EPIC medical record system preferred.
- Experience in patient education and counseling.
- Strong interpersonal skills to support patients during an emotionally sensitive treatment. ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- The ability to work closely with physicians, embryologists, and administrative staff.
- Commitment to delivering empathetic patient centered care in alignment with clinic values and mission.
Certifications/Licenses
Required:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse with 1-2 years of experience in Fertility or women's health, preferably at an IVF clinic.
- Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
- Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
- Reproductive Endocrinology Nursing certificate is a plus.
