private duty ventilator patient in
Commerce, Michigan

This is a
night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM providing one-on-one nursing care in the patient’s home. The ideal candidate will be dependable, clinically confident, and comfortable caring for a ventilator patient in a private home setting.
Pay Rate:$40.00 – $45.00 per hour
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Location: Commerce, Michigan
Setting: Private duty home care
Pet Notice: The home has cats and dogs
Position Overview
The Private Duty RN will provide skilled nursing care to a ventilator-dependent patient in the home. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while following the patient’s Plan of Care and physician orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care during assigned shift
- Monitor patient condition and report any changes appropriately
- Manage ventilator care and related skilled nursing needs
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Assist with patient safety, comfort, and daily care needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Communicate with the care team, family, and clinical leadership as needed
- Follow agency policies, physician orders, and the patient’s individualized Plan of Care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ventilator experience preferred
- Private duty, home care, ICU, or respiratory care experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a home with cats and dogs
- Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently
