JOB SUMMARY
The Genesee Brew House Security staff is responsible for the security and safety of the Brew House, parking lot, patrons and employees.
LOCATION:Rochester, NY
DEPARTMENT:Retail Security
STATUS:Part‑Time
JOB TYPE:Non‑Exempt
Required Availability:- Saturday 5PM-11PM
- Sunday 5PM-11PM
- Regular rounds of interior and exterior of the building.
- Watch for and report irregularities such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations.
- Contact emergency responders such as police, fire and/or ambulance personnel as required.
- Help patrons as needed.
- Escort employees to their vehicles.
- Posts at Retail Store and Parking Lot to ensure secure and safe environment.
- Assist with outside parking detail for special events.
- Assist with closing of the Brew House, including securing all doors and making interior/exterior rounds.
- Maintain daily log sheet documenting all activities.
- Turn in incident report at the end of each shift.
- Actively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Keep security vehicle or security booth clean and tidy and locking properly at end of your shift
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- NYS Security Guard License and up to date on 16-hour course
- Valid NYS driver’s license required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of one year of security experience
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, including climbing stairs throughout the shift.
- Ability to sit in Security vehicle or Security booth for extended periods.
- Occasional bending, squatting, twisting of neck and back and reaching below waist level or above shoulder heights.
- Occasional pushing, pulling or simple grasping of objects.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
The starting pay rate for this position is $18.00/hour not including opportunities for overtime and shift premiums. After 3 months of continuous employment and satisfactory performance, you may be eligible for an increase of $1.00/hour.
