Bennett & Game are pleased to be representing a well-established and growing contractor operating across Social Housing and NHS estates who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS to take ownership of planned works, refurbishment and maintenance projects in a role that offers a strong salary and bonus potential.
The successful candidate will play a key role in cost control and commercial delivery, working predominantly from the office with regular site visits to support project teams and protect margin across live schemes.
Quantity Surveyor Job OverviewCommercial management of Social Housing and NHS projects from pre-start through to final account
Preparation of cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates for senior stakeholders
Management of valuations, payment applications, variations and change control
Subcontractor procurement, package management and account agreement
Liaison with site teams and clients to monitor scope, progress and commercial risk
Attendance on site as required to support delivery and validate commercial positions
Job Requirements
Proven Quantity Surveying experience within Social Housing projects
Experience working across planned works, refurbishment and maintenance frameworks
Strong commercial awareness with a track record in cost control and reporting
Confident managing valuations, variations and final accounts
Comfortable with an office-based role that includes regular site travel
NHS estate project exposure highly desirable
Full UK driving licence preferred
Salary: 40,000 - 60,000 DOE
