SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted - Start January 2026

Location: Mainstream Primary School, Rochester
Role: Full-Time, Long-Term (Year 2 Support)

Are you a compassionate, motivated and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference? We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil in our welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rochester.

• Full-time position starting January 2026
• Long-term post with potential for extension
• Working closely with a Year 2 pupil with additional learning needs
• Providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive socially and academically
• Collaborating with class teachers, SENCO and external professionals
• Creating a nurturing, positive and structured learning environment

• Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., ASD, SEMH, speech & language, cognition and learning)
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable
• Confident using strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
