The Pilgrim School (Warwick Crescent, Rochester ME13LF
) is looking to appoint an inspirational part-time SENDCO to work as part of our SEND team at The Pilgrim Multi Academy Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our families, staff and children through the processes that will get them the support that will allow them to thrive in our inclusive environment. It will involve taking responsibility for the day today high quality class and intervention support, for meeting and liaising with parents, staff and external professionals in order to compile the evidence required for each individual child.
The National SEND qualification and experience of working in Medway Local Authority would be an advantage; however, we would support candidates working towards or wishing to work towards a SEND qualification. The successful applicants will:
- Make a valuable contribution to the offer that children receive at the school as part of the provision of high-quality teaching and supported learning
- Work co-operatively with the Trust lead SENDCO and SEND colleagues in the Trust
- Support teachers to raise the standards of SEN pupils in their care
- Have a passion for adapting a curriculum for all children to thrive
- To lead the school community in using School-Based Plans
- Be able to collate and write EHCP plans to enable pupils to access the appropriate provision and resources.
