The Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Construction Multi Skills Tutor to join their team in Medway. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction professional or multi-trade specialist to inspire the next generation of learners and support them in developing practical skills and confidence. As the Construction Multi Skills Tutor, you will deliver engaging, hands‑on training across Level 1 Multi Skills Construction, helping learners progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

About

You
  • Experienced in Construction Multi Skills (e.g., Plastering, Joinery, Painting & Decorating, Bricklaying, or general multi-trade)
  • Passionate about teaching, training, and inspiring learners
  • Confident delivering practical, engaging sessions to diverse groups
  • Organised, reliable, and an excellent communicator
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Industry‑recognised qualification in Construction/Multi Skills
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to achieve)
  • Experience in construction industry essential
  • FE teaching experience desirable
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver practical, engaging construction training sessions
  • Plan and deliver lessons tailored to learner needs
  • Support learners with individual progression plans and goals
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and pastoral support
  • Track and report learner progress effectively
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and quality standards are met
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
  • Conduct risk assessments for all practical activities
