SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time

Wouldham, Kent

October Start

£95 - £105 per day (PAYE)

Teach South Kent is recruiting a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic specialist school in Wouldham, Kent from October
.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting children and young people with a range of complex special educational needs
, including autism, communication difficulties, severe and profound learning needs, sensory needs and emotional regulation needs
. Every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school provides a highly personalised approach to learning in a nurturing environment.

The Role
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day.
  • Help deliver engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Encourage communication, independence and social development.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff.
  • Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Is patient, caring and resilient.
  • Has experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work or similar experience is welcomed).
  • Has an interest in supporting pupils with autism and additional learning needs.
  • Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Is committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
