We're looking for an EC&I Technician with strong technical skills and experience in CCGT or large-scale process industries. This is a key role within our engineering function, supporting critical infrastructure and contributing to strategic projects.

• Ensure high standards of housekeeping and safety.
• Comply with statutory requirements, including Health & Safety at Work Act and Environmental Protection Act.
• Prepare and manage contracts in support of station operations.
• Act as Competent Person or Authorised Person under Safety Rules, ensuring safety from the system.
• Deliver service and maintenance best practices.
• Supervise contractors and personnel during plant overhauls.
• Apply a proactive and creative approach to fault diagnosis and problem solving.
• Support and deliver Process Safety KPIs.
• Contribute to business and station objectives.
• Assist in budget and cost management.
• Undertake procurement activities, including technical specification development.
• Participate in major and interim inspections and overhauls, managing contracts and contractors.
• Perform hands‑on maintenance on EC&I equipment and systems.
• Maintain effective interfaces with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, including producing written reports.

• Experience in CCGT plant maintenance or large-scale process industry.
• HNC qualification
• Computer literacy.
• Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification (desirable).
• Strong team working skills.
• Knowledge of budgets and contract management.
• Understanding of safe working principles and relevant legislation.
• Results‑driven with a desire to develop professionally.
• Self‑motivated and flexible.
• Ability to support mechanical disciplines with planning and diagnostics.
