Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm, Office Based

Our client is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join their team and support the continued delivery of exceptional project outcomes. As a leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of precision metalwork, they deliver high‑quality architectural and structural fabrication projects.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled CAD Technician with a strong background in metal fabrication or structural engineering. You will play a key role in producing detailed drawings and models that support both production and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

Produce precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fabrication and installation
Work from client concepts, architectural plans, and engineer calculations
Develop complete drawing packs, including GA drawings, fabrication drawings for approval, and material schedules
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure design accuracy
Maintain document control, including versioning and revision procedures
Support ongoing design development and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequirements

Proficient in 3D modelling using Advanced Steel or Tekla
Previous experience in metal fabrication, architectural metalwork, and structural steel detailing
Strong understanding of design principles, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a design team
