V06643 - Engineering Project Manager

Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support its Electronic Systems Engineering leadership team in Rochester. This 12-month contract role offers the opportunity to lead complex engineering projects, support aerospace programmes and deliver innovative solutions for global customers.

• Oversee engineering projects through the full project lifecycle, from execution strategy through to delivery
• Ensure compliant products and services are delivered on time and within agreed budgets
• Provide technical direction, make key engineering decisions and manage project trade-offs
• Work collaboratively with global customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives and requirements
• Act as the primary engineering point of contact for project stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement through the introduction of innovative engineering practices, solutions and technologies
• Guide and support team members while promoting a collaborative, high-performance working environment

• Significant engineering project management experience within the aerospace, defence or wider engineering industry
• Strong understanding of engineering project life cycles, delivery strategies, budgets and compliance requirements
• Experience providing technical leadership and making informed engineering decisions
• Knowledge of aerospace engineering products, systems or programmes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with global customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and continuous improvement skills

• 12-month contract
• Based in Rochester
• Hybrid working arrangement, with three days on site
