Finance Assistant

Location:

Aylesford, Kent
Full-Time – Monday to Friday, 8:30a.m – 5:00p.m
Salary: £28,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits

The Role
Qualitex Supplies is a family-owned distributor of luxury bathroom products with over 35 years’ experience and a strong “family feel” at its heart. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our accounts team at our Aylesford head office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting smooth financial operations in a busy office environment.

You will assist with invoices, expenses, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end reporting while supporting the Finance Manager on ad-hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day financial operations including invoices, expenses, and reconciliations

• Provide administrative support for weekly and monthly payroll

• Maintain accurate financial records and input data into accounting systems

• Support preparation of month-end reports, management accounts, cash flow statements, and financial statements

• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth financial processes

• Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc financial projects and administrative tasks

Required

Skills & Qualifications

• AAT qualification or at least 3+ years’ experience in a similar role

• Strong understanding of VAT, including reverse charges

• Highly proficient with accounting systems and Excel

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting processes

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication skills

• Own vehicle required for commute
