A well-established precision manufacturing business is looking to strengthen its machine shop team with an experienced CNC Machinist
. This is a hands-on role within a clean, structured production environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, consistency and producing high-quality components.

This opportunity is open to candidates from any precision engineering or manufacturing background sector experience is far less important than attitude, skill and attention to detail.

The role

You ll be part of a close-knit machining team responsible for producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances. The role offers variety, responsibility and long-term stability within a well-run manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities:

• Operating CNC turning and/or milling machines
• Using manual machinery where required
• Working from engineering drawings, job cards and machining instructions
• Completing first-off and in-process inspection checks
• Accurately recording work using shop-floor systems
• Supporting production flow to meet deadlines
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

What we re looking for

• Proven experience in a machining or precision manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with CNC turning and/or milling machines
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-led environment
• Reliable, proactive and team-oriented
• Physically fit and happy in a hands-on role
