Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm (42 hours per week)

Job Role of the Assistant Production Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Team Leader, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business. As the Assistant Production Manager, you will play a key role in leading production operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved while driving continuous improvement across your shift.

Sector – Food Manufacturing

Non-Negotiable Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Production Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership experience managing production teams within manufacturing.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience with in the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
  • Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience (5S / CI).
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the production team to achieve daily production targets.
  • Ensure accurate ERP reporting for production, materials, and finished goods.
  • Manage warehouse returns and material reconciliation.
  • Monitor production KPIs including OEE, waste, downtime, and output.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the shift.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate production documentation.
  • Manage attendance, performance, discipline, and development of production staff.
  • Promote a positive, high-performance culture focused on teamwork and accountability.
