We are looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to join our team in Rochester
. This is a full‑time role offering consistent hours in a secure and supportive working environment.

What Does a Security Officer Do

Security Officers play a vital role in protecting people, property, and information
. They act as a visual deterrent,
prevent unauthorized access
, monitor for suspicious activity, and respond to incidents and emergencies
. This position helps ensure the safety and security of premises 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol and monitor premises to deter and detect security breaches

Manage access control and verify  staff, visitors, and contractors

Respond quickly to alarms and emergencies in a calm, effective manner

Maintain detailed logs and incident reports

Conduct regular internal and external security checks

Operate CCTV and other monitoring equipment

Enforce site‑specific procedures and health & safety regulations

Support protection of classified materials and sensitive infrastructure

Liaise with emergency services and site management as needed

Qualifications Key Requirements

Must be a British citizen by birth
, or have held a British passport for at least 5 years

Hold a valid SIA licence

Must be able to obtain SC (Security Clearance)

5‑year checkable work history is required

Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends

This position is subject to enhanced background checks and government security vetting.
