Security Officer – Rochester

Location: Rochester, Kent - ME1 2XX

Hours: 56 Hours 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off (3 day 4 nights/4 days 3 nights)

Pay: £14.56 per hour

• Competitive hourly rate of £14.56ph
• Regular, structured hours:
  56 hours per week

We are looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to join our team in Rochester
. This is a full‑time role offering consistent hours in a secure and supportive working environment.

Security Officers play a vital role in protecting people, property and information
. They act as a visual deterrent,
prevent unauthorized access
, monitor for suspicious activity and respond to incidents and emergencies
. This position helps ensure the safety and security of premises 24/7.

• Patrol and monitor premises to deter and detect security breaches
• Manage access control and verify  staff, visitors and contractors
• Respond quickly to alarms and emergencies in a calm, effective manner
• Maintain detailed logs and incident reports
• Conduct regular internal and external security checks
• Operate CCTV and other monitoring equipment
• Enforce site‑specific procedures and health & safety regulations
• Support protection of classified materials and sensitive infrastructure
• Liaise with emergency services and site management as needed

• Must be a British citizen by birth or have held a British passport for at least 5 years
• Hold a valid SIA licence
• Must be able to obtain SC (Security Clearance)
• 5‑year checkable work history is required
• Flexible to work days, nights and weekends
