Job Title: Part-Time Passenger Assistant

Salary: £560 - £860 per month (route dependent)

Hours: 12.5 to 20 per week (varies by route)

Role location: Rochester, Chatham, Rainham, Gillingham, Gravesend

• Term time work (before and after school hours).
• Picked up and dropped off.

• Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres.
• Work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• Quickly establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers/parents, and key people at the establishments they attend.
• Assist the driver in company supplied vehicles, which includes cars, 8 seat people carriers and large wheelchair accessible vehicles.
• Be patient and empathic with the passengers and keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.

• Pass an enhanced criminal record check as you will be working with children, young persons and/or vulnerable adults.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• First Aid training – and willingness to undergo advanced specialist medical training.

This role involves driving children (Child Workforce LW
9) and conveying adults who need to be transported due to age, illness, or disability (Adult Workforce LW 12). The position therefore meets the definition of regulated activity under both child and adult workforce legislative wording and is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check with relevant barred list checks.
