Warehouse Operative

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative with a background in manufacturing or warehousing? Do you have a REACH forklift license? If so, this Warehouse Operative role could be perfect for you!

This Warehouse Operative position is based in Hoo, Kent. The role is permanent and onsite. The role is a double day shift, alternating 6am-2pm one week, 2pm-10pm the next week. The role is paying up to 33,000 depending on experience.

As the Warehouse Operative, you'll take ownership of the efficient flow of materials throughout the business, from goods receipt through to dispatch. You'll be responsible for receiving, checking and storing incoming goods, unloading deliveries, picking and issuing components, preparing customer orders for dispatch, wrapping, weighing and loading goods for transportation, and supporting stock control activities. You'll also maintain excellent housekeeping standards, carry out warehouse inspections when required and ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.

The role offers variety, with opportunities to support production and packing activities when needed.

You will need:

• At least 2 years' experience working within a factory, manufacturing, or warehousing environment
• A good understanding of warehouse procedures, including goods in, goods out, picking, packing and stock control
• A valid REACH forklift truck licence
• Basic PC literacy and the ability to learn new systems
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A self-motivated and organised approach, with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently when required
