Purpose:
To conduct and analyze research in gear dynamics.
Job Duties: The applicant will use advanced analytical models and finite element/contact mechanics software to generate new knowledge about the damage-induced dynamic response in geared systems. The applicant will communicate research findings in technical presentations, conference proceedings, and journal articles. Prior experience with analytical gear modeling, finite element modeling, gear dynamic response calculations, and characteristics of planetary gear vibration spectra are required.
