Account Manager – Wine

Imperial Beverage, a Michigan family‑owned beverage distributor, is looking for a proven sales professional to manage wine accounts across Rochester Hills and surrounding areas.

We are passionate about helping our clients – bars, grocery stores, and restaurants – succeed with their beverage choices. As an Account Manager you’ll build strong relationships, drive sales, and expand our diverse wine portfolio.

A Day in the Life
  • Review sales route on the iPad and plan each stop, including product samples and solutions for each account.
  • Drive to each account, greet the purchaser/manager, and present the product.
  • Fill shelves, rotate stock, check back‑stock, and track replenishment needs.
  • Discuss ideas and obtain approval for new product placement from the purchaser/manager.
  • Upload orders and repeat the process several times per day.
  • Create a recap for each account to assist with the next visit and notify merchandisers of updates.
Additional Opportunities
  • Rewrite wine lists in collaboration with accounts.
  • Sample and learn about products with our suppliers.
  • Hand‑sell products to consumers at wine dinners.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Sales experience required; beverage sales experience preferred.
  • Advanced wine knowledge.
  • Minimum age 21, reside in or willing to relocate to Rochester Hills.
  • Reliable vehicle, cell phone, and flexible schedule for varying hours.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to maintain rapport with diverse customers.
  • Desire to stay current on industry trends and product knowledge.
  • Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
