Inside Sales Representative – $60,000 to $70,000
Location:
Rochester, MI
Base Pay Range: $60,000 – $70,000 per year.
Role Overview
The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in driving profitable growth through proactive outreach, exceptional customer support, and strong relationship management. This position supports both new and existing customers while collaborating closely with outside sales and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities- Drive inside sales through proactive phone and email outreach
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships within a defined account base
- Process customer quotes, orders, and priority transactions accurately and efficiently
- Support outside sales by managing time‑sensitive or high‑priority transactions
- Use digital tools to promote products, answer technical questions, and expand business
- Prospect for new accounts within the assigned geographic territory
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products or solutions
- Resolve customer issues promptly using strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis
- Prepare and follow up on quotations throughout the entire purchasing cycle
- Monitor and report on competitive activity, pricing trends, and product opportunities
- Participate in ongoing product meetings, training, and seminars to enhance knowledge
- Collaborate with vendor representatives and internal specialists to support customer solutions
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or electrical distribution
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Customer‑oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
- Basic to intermediate product and application knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and ERP platforms
- Highly self‑motivated, organized, and detail‑oriented
- Ability to work overtime as needed
