Account Manager

We are currently in search of a Account Manager to join our Sales department of the Marquardt Group in our location Rochester Hills (USA).

The Automotive Account Manager is responsible for managing current business from a sales perspective as well as developing new business opportunities. Disciplinary reporting to the Key Account Manager. The Account Manager will work across customers with defined product lines.

Responsibilities

* Manage existing business for assigned customers

* Identify new opportunities to provide products and services to existing customers

* Identify and communicate customer product and technology requirements to appropriate Marquardt personnel. Voice of Customer

* Respond to requests for quotes, providing detailed price quotes on prospective business opportunities

* Active participation during the organizational goals for yearly sales for assigned OEM(s) and associated Tiers

* Execute strategic plans to ensure long-term growth in both existing and potential new markets

* Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, including key personnel in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and purchasing

* Achieve assigned sales, account development, and other targets

* Develop and maintain various strategic growth metrics

* Monitors and assure timely delivery of prototype samples

* Generates annual cost saving/cost sharing proposals to the customer in order to meet the productivity goals stated in the customer contracts

* Engineering changes coordination

* Negotiate and track pricing changes

Required Skills and Knowledge:

* Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering

* 7+ years' experience in components/systems sales for Stellantis or VW Group or Toyota, including their customer portal (esupplierconnect)

* Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

* Nice to have: J/K OEM and/or EV OEM experience

* Computer skills, including the use of Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SAP and customer sales portals

* Thorough understanding of Human-Machine Interface, Lighting and related mechatronic products

* Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation, negotiation, and influencing

* Advanced management skills, including planning and organization, decision-making, problem solving, and project management

* Advanced knowledge of sales and closing techniques

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, distributors, sales representatives, managers, and the general public

* Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents

* Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions

* Accuracy and attention to detail

* Exceptional time management, organization, and planning

* Independent problem solving and analysis
