Accounts Receivable Clerk

Overview

Executive Recruiter at Axios Professional Recruitment is partnering with a well-established global converter and distributor of specialty products to automotive and industrial customers to support the search for an Accounts Receivable Clerk / Bookkeeper. This is an onsite position based in Rochester, Michigan. The role will support the Accounting Manager in ensuring customer payments are received and applied, reconciling inventory, and assisting with other accounting-related tasks as needed.

• Prepare daily cash deposits and process daily credit card deposits
• Research and process chargebacks, returns, and bad checks
• Respond to customer phone and email inquiries regarding accounts receivable
• Contact customers via phone/email to collect on accounts as necessary
• Process customer returns and credit memos
• Reconcile inventory daily when subcontract shippers arrive and monthly during physical counts
• Reconcile inventory at the company’s 3PL warehouse
• Perform random physical cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
• Check and approve vouchers for payment
• Perform 3-way matching on vendor receipts
• Respond to vendor inquiries
• Prepare accounts payable checks/ACH transactions
• Assist with monthly closings
• Provide support with accounts receivable and special projects as needed
• Review figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, accuracy, and proper coding

• 2–5 years of related accounting/bookkeeping experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams
• Experience with Plex Manufacturing Cloud preferred (not required)
• Ability to work onsite 8:30am-5pm Monday–Friday
