The Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a fellowship-trained Cornea Surgeon/Specialist to join our collegial team. Our team of Ophthalmology sub-specialists is looking to hire a surgeon to perform corneal incisional surgery and complex anterior segment surgery. The department has approximately 40 staff members who cover all subspecialty areas of ophthalmology. This position involves clinical care of patients and resident teaching, and candidates should have an academic interest in clinical and/or laboratory research.

The department already has active and respected cornea research programs. Mayo Clinic is a non-profit, physician-led, multi-specialty clinical practice integrated with education and research in a unified, multi-campus environment. Mayo Clinic is an academic tertiary care institution that includes campuses in Minnesota, Arizona and Florida. Candidates should be fellowship trained in Cornea surgery, in addition to board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology. Candidates must obtain medical licensure in the state of Minnesota.

  The minimum starting salary for surgical specialties may range from $290,000 to $830,500. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
