QUALIFICATIONSCurrent appropriate Minnesota teaching license required: K-12 license, Adult Education Teaching License or a person who has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in English.
CLASSES INCLUDEWriting for College and Careers II, D2L, Collaborate with instructor for the English 1117 at RCTC, writing lab/homework help for English 1117 at RCTC, online ESL 1-2 (4pm class, 4-6 hours, 2 or 3 days a week).
Job Summary- Teach developmental writing skills to prepare students to transition to RCTC
- Teach students the D2L platform
- Collaborate with the RCTC instructor and provide wrap around homework support for the English 1117
Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable.
Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development.
Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs, both academic and affective.
