Residential Technician – Residential Addictions Unit – RT

The Psychiatric Technician supports inpatient and outpatient addiction and psychiatric programs, working within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for adults and children.

• Assist in residential and outpatient addiction treatments, addressing substance use, emotional health, and spiritual wellbeing.
• Participate in direct and indirect patient care, promoting safety and engagement through social activities, crafts, and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient behaviors, conduct safety observations, and identify escalation signs to maintain a secure environment.
• Support treatment plans by facilitating social and recreational activities aligned with individual care goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 21.
• Experience in psychiatric settings or completion of college credits preferred.
• Basic skills in meal prep, cleaning, and working with diverse populations under stress.
• Proficiency in computer use and electronic documentation.
• Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members.
• Required training in first aid, trauma-informed care, and other areas within 90 days of employment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support certification from recognized organizations.
