A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Telecom/Network Engineer

Position type: Full-time Contract

Duration: 12+ months

Location: Rochester, MN 55902

As a(n)
Telecom/Network Engineer you will:

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Install and support Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches and Cisco Catalyst 8000 Series routers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across OSI Layers 1-3.
• Deploy and support access-layer and distribution-layer network environments.
• Participate in network architecture reviews, planning, and technology implementations.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders on network projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Lead or support small to medium-sized network infrastructure projects.
• Ensure network configurations align with security and operational standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with Multi-Chassis Ether Channel (MEC).
• Experience with SD-WAN deployment and administration.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
• Experience working within large enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of server and desktop operating systems

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
• 6+ years of professional network engineering experience without a degree.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Experience configuring and deploying Cisco Catalyst C9000 Series switches.
• Experience configuring and deploying Cisco Catalyst C8000 Series routers.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and the OSI Model.
• Experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: Between $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
