Clinical Systems Specialist - Cardiovascular

Independently manages projects related to the Information Management System and its imaging component. Assists with soliciting, evaluating, prioritizing and incorporating changes to the functionality of the system to improve the clinical, research and educational operations. Oversees projects and system enhancements including: systems selection, testing, validation, employee training, installation and implementation to production. Works closely with equipment specialists to troubleshoot existing technical issues and test future software/hardware for compatibility with reporting and imaging systems.

Troubleshoots and triages user and software problems and enhancements within the system. Runs database queries for customers. Provides technical, clinical and billing guidance to colleagues. Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions for new technology efforts. Maintains knowledge and understanding of the imaging protocols or modalities. Advances knowledge of clinical, education and research practices by actively participating in committees or work groups at the laboratory, division, institution and enterprise level.
