Position: Trial Attorney at Wanta Thome

Our mission is to undo the economic harm of workplace discrimination.

We’re contingency employment lawyers focused on maximum financial recovery for workers facing discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage violations. We move fast to restore stability, hold bad actors accountable, and deliver justice clients can actually feel.

Our case types include race, sex, age, and disability discrimination; sexual harassment; whistle blower retaliation; FMLA interference; workers’ compensation retaliation; and pregnancy discrimination.

The Mission

Drive maximum financial recovery for employees who have experienced workplace discrimination or retaliation.

This isn’t about billing hours or playing the waiting game. It’s about using sharp litigation instincts, persistence, and the Wanta Thome method to get clients the full value of their case.

What You’ll Accomplish

We hire people to deliver results, not to go through the motions. Here’s what success looks like in your first 12–18 months:

  • Case Value: Achieve median settlement values at or above firm benchmarks for your case types (we’ll share how we set targets during interviews—they’re aggressive)
  • Courtroom Performance: Execute depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials that advance case value.
  • Client

    Experience:

    Maintain outstanding client feedback through consistent communication and transparency. We survey clients for their feedback regularly.
  • Delegation Effectiveness: Your job is fresh analysis, strategy, and advocacy. We expect you’ll delegate the rest to your paralegal or case manager.
  • Process Adherence: Our proprietary, technology-backed, system for case advancement is at the heart of our practice. It’s what allows us to achieve truly fantastic client results for clients. We’ll train you how to use it and ask for your help to improve it.
  • Portfolio Growth: Build capacity to manage an expanding caseload as you master our systems.
How You’ll Operate Role-Based Competencies

Strategic Case Assessment You see the full chessboard. You identify pressure points, quantify damages early, and build strategies that force favorable resolution. You don’t wait for the other side to act—you dictate the tempo.

Efficient Delegation You give paralegals and case managers clear directions, specific timelines, and explicit boundaries. You trust them to execute routine work so you can focus on the strategic decisions only you can make. Attorneys who hoard tasks or micromanage don’t survive here.

Client Relationship Skills You’re the steady hand clients trust during the most stressful period of their professional lives. You communicate proactively, set realistic expectations, and never leave them wondering what’s happening with your case.
