B.Ch. and collaborate with the MS team at Mayo Clinic Center for MS and Autoimmune Neurology. - Develop and validate risk models for RIS and typical MS onset by integrating germline variants, clinical data, and environmental factors.
- Collect and analyze clinical data from electronic medical records and document environmental factors.
- Compare clinical characteristics of individuals with RIS and MS to age‑matched controls and measure the association of baseline patient characteristics.
- Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship.
- Strong background in neurology, epidemiology, or related fields with experience with large data sets and clinical research.
- Familiarity with genetic risk scores and statistical modeling; excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Strong publication record and a clear career development plan in multiple sclerosis research.
- Submit a 1–2 page research proposal that articulates the project’s hypothesis, specific aims, innovation, significance, and collaborative components. Include a statement on how the fellowship will facilitate career advancement and support future grant applications.
- Proof of English proficiency is required for J‑1 Short‑Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
