Principal responsibilities include the identification, collection, processing, and shipment of radioactive and/or hazardous wastes and associated record‑keeping. The role requires a high level of customer interaction and the ability to meet customer needs while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
QualificationsHigh School degree or equivalent and 5 years of relevant work experience. Experience should include leadership, team building, problem‑solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines.
Must have strong verbal and written communication, organizational, public‑speaking, and human‑relation skills. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing work schedules and environments. Proficiency with PC and routine computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases). Knowledge of radiation safety, chemical safety, industrial hygiene, or radioactive/hazardous waste management. For transportation positions, a CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
