Direct Support Associate

Overview

Easterseals NH is looking for a Direct Support Associate (DSA) to join our Community Based Services team. This program supports individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs living within our residential homes.

Schedule: Full time 40 hours a week;
Sunday - Wednesday 9p-7a awake overnights

Pay: $22.62/hour

Opportunity to attend paid internal NADSP training to become a certified Direct Support Professional which leads to career advancement and pay increases.

The Direct Support Associate will support in promoting independence, creating a safe environment, and providing companionship to clients in a residential home setting.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration
• Assisting with lifting, transferring, and mobility support
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events
• Follow each individuals care plan
• All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety
• Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet
• Other duties as needed or assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience providing direct support or direct care (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
