Product Innovation Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturer of heating systems, is looking for a results-oriented Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of innovative product design initiatives. This role is instrumental in turning strategic concepts into market-ready products, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget, all while driving cross-functional team collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Manage the full lifecycle of projects using a structured stage-gate process—from feasibility and design to testing and launch.
• Collaborate closely with Product Marketing to ensure project goals align with business strategy and market demands.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, lab techs, and designers to deliver technical product solutions.
• Develop and manage detailed timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and create proactive mitigation plans.
• Facilitate regular project reviews and stakeholder communications to track and report project progress and resolve any roadblocks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline).
• 5+ years of experience managing product development projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and technical product design.
• Skilled in project management methodologies and software (MS Project or similar).
• Proven success leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
• Effective communicator with the ability to present to and collaborate with senior leadership.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• Experience managing technical, manufactured products is highly desirable.
• Comfortable with occasional overnight travel.
• Known for maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
