Laars Heating Systems Company in Rochester, NH is seeking a Quality Generalist who will report to the Quality Manager and provide support for daily QA and RGA activities as required. The Quality Generalist will be responsible for ensuring LAARS’ follows and maintains customer and company quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished product. This individual maintains a well-organized, clean and orderly environment, consistent with LAARS’, 6S philosophy.
Job Responsibilities- Reviews and approves testing reports received from third-party laboratories.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the latest ASME regulations and relevant codes for processes, materials, and products.
- Accurately processes inbound return goods from multiple customer locations, evaluating the products, preparing and processing documentation and managing, updating and archiving all return transactions.
- Receives and inspects Returned product to assign disposition, checking for quality and condition of product to determine return category.
- Must be familiar and competent with the use of metrology hand tools.
- Support corporate philosophies and procedures.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Collaborates with the MRB Team with the disposition of nonconforming materials / product including customer returns as well as internal product.
- Ability to do mechanical inspections using gages, and small test fixtures.
- Other duties as assigned or requested by Quality Manager.
- Knowledge of Quality/inspection Plans
- Strong math skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift to 35 pounds.
- Knowledge of M2K or other ERP systems. (Inventory moves, RGA processing etc.)
- High school degree or equivalent required, technical education preferred
- 2+ years working in similar position
- Knowledge of ASME Section II and Section IV, preferred
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and overall computer skills.
- Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail.
- Individual who is creative and offers new ideas.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexibility to work in a changing environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
