Security Officer

Location: Rochester, MA

Shift: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm

Pay Rate: $19.50

Securitas is seeking a dependable, professional, and observant Security Officer to join our team at a client site in Rochester, NH. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and client personnel. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to help prevent unauthorized activity and maintain site security.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification and monitoring visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, security concerns, and safety hazards.
• Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Conduct routine security patrols and inspections of designated areas.
• Maintain accurate and detailed daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Enforce site-specific security procedures, policies, and access control requirements.
• Provide professional assistance and customer service to employees, visitors, and client representatives.
• Communicate effectively with site management, client personnel, and fellow security team members.
• Follow established emergency response procedures and assist with evacuations when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while on duty.
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age, or meet the applicable age requirement for the assignment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain alert, exercise sound judgment, and respond appropriately to changing situations.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to follow written procedures, verbal instructions, and site-specific protocols.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to successfully complete the required background screening and any applicable site-specific requirements.
