As the Seasonal Business Tax Associate you will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, applying your strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations, and preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.
What You Will DoIn this role you will help customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax products, providing tax advice, full‑service return preparation, tax calculations, and product/software support.
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and deliver the right answer to customers using everyday language.
- This is a virtual, customer‑facing role; you will use our state‑of‑the‑art video communications software (Smartlook) to interact with customers.
- Help Turbo Tax Business customers who are working on their tax returns or have delegated their tax returns with:
- Tax advice
- Full Service Business return preparation and signature
- Product/software inquiries
- Tax calculations
- Filing tax extensions
- Create high‑quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence.
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return preparation issues.
- Document customer interactions.
- Work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws; 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers is strongly preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer service skills; ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria.
- Must reside in the United States.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. Expected base pay ranges:
- Bay Area, California $31.10 – $35.50

This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with our applicable plans and programs.
