Bookkeeper Position

Tess Gilmore with Robert Half is looking for a Bookkeeper to join her client's ever growing team here in Rochester, NY! This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end reporting. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and timeliness are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping functions for the organization.
• Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments.
• Generate customer invoices and manage accounts receivable activities.
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Process employee expense reports and reimbursements.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting activities.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules as needed.
• Support payroll processing and payroll record maintenance.
• Prepare financial reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist external accountants and auditors with documentation requests.
• Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
