Accounting Associate

Description

Tess Gilmore with Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Associate to join her growing client's team! This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

+ Process vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable functions.

+ Generate customer invoices and support accounts receivable activities.

+ Enter and maintain accounting data with a high level of accuracy.

+ Assist with bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.

+ Support month-end closing processes and journal entry preparation.

+ Maintain vendor, customer, and financial records.

+ Review and process employee expense reports.

+ Assist with inventory and manufacturing cost tracking.

+ Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.

+ Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.

+ Support internal and external audit requests.

+ Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed.

+ Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and production departments to ensure accurate financial information.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

+ Internship, coursework, or up to 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or administrative experience.

+ Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.

+ High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

+ Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting career path.
