Description

The Nursing Staffing Coordinator helps keep their assigned building running smoothly and seamlessly by overseeing daily scheduling of nursing staff (approximately 200 employees).

Qualifications &

Education Required:

High school degree or GED required
BS in healthcare management or similar field preferred
Scheduling in health care experience preferred
Strong computer and communication skills
Desire to interact with elders and care for their needs
Willingness to embrace and exemplify St. John’s Brand Characteristics

Requirements Position

Competencies:

Technical competence in MS Word, excel, email, and EMR, Mail Mergers moderate computer skills preferred
Extensive experience with scheduling software – Paylocity preferred
Excellent phone skills and communication skills
Clerical and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate with multiple levels of employees

Position Responsibilities:

Maintain daily oversight of assigned building schedule. Manage open shifts through Paylocity Scheduling Plus software and work with Administrator & DON to ensure consistent and optimal building staffing.
Communicate staffing and scheduling needs to nursing leadership, continually review and update schedules
On-call rotation with 2 other schedulers as required
Help with other duties as needed that support the Core Team to fulfill St John’s Brand Characteristics.
Create schedule templates
Update Daily PPD Report
Update Master Schedule
Meet and create schedule with new hire
Attend recruiting and retention meeting
Identify and report vacancies to DON and Administrator
Check in with units to ensure proper staffing
Ensure daily RN coverage

Sits, stands, walks. Subject to frequent interruptions and multiple task management

May be exposed to infection, odors and psycho-behavioral situations
