Department: Child Care
Schedule: Monday to Friday – 6:30 am to 3:00 pm or 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Salary Range: $16.25 – $18.43 per hour

- Assists the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children.
- Assists in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development.
- Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all of the children and their families.
- Effectively guides children's behavior in an age‑appropriate and positive manner.
Constructively participates in staff meetings and attends meetings with supervisor. - Meets the physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and cultural needs of individual children.
- Attends a minimum of 15 hours of training every year.
- Communicates appropriately with families regarding children's daily activities both verbally and written as needed.
- Ensures the safety of the children and promotes good health habits.
- Works toward achievement of classroom’s annual goals.
- Works with colleagues and community representatives to support children and families.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated patience and compassion.
- High school diploma or equivalent OR
- One (1) year of experience working with children less than 13 years.

M – Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
