Project Manager
Pay: $90,000 - $125,000 per year

Teamwork is a key aspect of every role at Ruston Paving. The Project Manager is responsible for estimation and management of projects from inception to project close‑out. The following essential functions include:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, material suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Takes necessary steps to obtain proper documentation for interpretation before preparing proposals and bids.
- Oversees the distribution and organization of online RFPs and prospective projects.
- Reviews and distributes project documents as needed for soliciting pricing for proposals and/or bids.
- Prepares quantity take‑offs and reviews project specifications.
- Analyzes and compiles field data to assist in design and scope development.
- Prepares CADD drawings to communicate scope of work.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimates expected costs, and reports on job cost and crew activity throughout project life.
- Conducts risk assessments, reports identified risks, and provides mitigation recommendations.
- Participates in daily scheduling meetings to provide input on equipment moves and staffing needs.
- Resolves conflicts with staff, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and other parties in a timely manner.
- Is accountable for profitable, safe, and timely execution of all projects while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Maintains positive relationships with current, past, and future customers and employees.
- Performs administrative duties such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and answering calls and inquiries.
- Ensures safety protocols are followed, PPE is utilized, and safe tools and equipment are used consistently with company and industry standards.
- Promotes a culture of safety by participating in regular safety meetings.
- Performs all duties in conformance to safety and security standards.

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a construction‑related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience estimating, leading or managing construction projects.
- Experience in preparing estimates involving labor, materials, and equipment is a plus.
- CADD experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience managing multiple projects at once with a range of sizes and requirements required.
- Experience effectively resolving contract disputes and managing changes.
- Fluent in English; ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
