WROC-TV/ in Rochester, New York is hiring a Production Director who is responsible for researching, planning, managing and producing news programming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Code and Direct daily live local newscasts and other live and prerecorded productions using Ross Over Drive and ENPS
* Stream live and prerecorded productions using OBS Studio
* Work closely with News Producers, Photographers, Engineers, and other Directors to enhance our final on-air product
* Edit with technical proficiency and visual effectiveness using Adobe Premiere
* Work well in a collaborative team environment; multitasking, problem-solving, and making last-minute decisions under pressure and tight deadlines
* Be self-sufficient, managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
* Perform other job-related requests and duties as assigned

Requirements &

Skills:

* Bachelor’s degree in communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience is preferred
* Experience in news operations and/or production is preferred
* Experience with cross-platform live streaming is preferred
* Ross Over Drive, ENPS, Adobe Premiere and OBS experience a plus
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills; fluent in English, oral and written
* Available to work all shifts (mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays), as well as extended hours as assigned

Compensation: $17-$18/hour commensurate with applicant’s experience and skill level.
