We’re hiring for our client—a nationally recognized design firm uniting architecture, engineering, interiors, and landscape architecture under one collaborative vision. We’re seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our client’s progressive, innovative, and inclusive design practice based in the Rochester area. ** Ability to work from Buffalo, Syracuse, or Troy, NY, with visits to the office weekly**

What You’ll Do- Lead projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring design integrity, client satisfaction, and project profitability.
- Provide expert design direction on spatial relationships, aesthetics, materials, color palettes, furniture, and lighting selections.
- Manage client relationships, serving as the primary interiors contact throughout all project phases.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and landscape architects to ensure an integrated design approach.
- Prepare and review design documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee budget estimates, interior finishes, furnishings, and scope of services in alignment with project goals.
- Lead and mentor junior designers, fostering growth and encouraging creative exploration.
- Support business development through proposal preparation, qualification packages, and client presentations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of interior building codes, sustainability standards (LEED), and industry best practices.
- 8+ years of professional experience in interior design, preferably within architecture and design firms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- NCIDQ certification required; LEED accreditation or strong knowledge of sustainable design preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture systems, and codes.
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and rendering software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
