Senior Interior Designer

We’re seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our client’s progressive, innovative, and inclusive design practice based in the Rochester area. • Lead projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring design integrity, client satisfaction, and project profitability.
• Provide expert design direction on spatial relationships, aesthetics, materials, color palettes, furniture, and lighting selections.
• Manage client relationships, serving as the primary interiors contact throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and landscape architects to ensure an integrated design approach.
• Prepare and review design documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee budget estimates, interior finishes, furnishings, and scope of services in alignment with project goals.
• Lead and mentor junior designers, fostering growth and encouraging creative exploration.
• Support business development through proposal preparation, qualification packages, and client presentations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of interior building codes, sustainability standards (LEED), and industry best practices.

• 8+ years of professional experience in interior design, preferably within architecture and design firms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• NCIDQ certification required; LEED accreditation or strong knowledge of sustainable design preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture systems, and codes.
• Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and rendering software.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
• A collaborative spirit, leadership mindset, and passion for design excellence.
