Academic Breast Imaging Position

The Department of Imaging Sciences at The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) is looking for a Breast Imaging radiologist to join our team of outstanding breast radiologists dedicated to the highest quality outcomes and educational innovation.

The clinical mission of the Division of Breast Imaging is to provide individually tailored comprehensive care for the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. Our Breast Imaging division presently consists of 7 dedicated faculty members and provides state‑of‑the‑art imaging including novel ultrasound tomography and breast CT. Structured reporting software and automated breast density with risk assessment are used across the enterprise.

The division is an integral component of the comprehensive breast program at the Wilmot Cancer Center of the University of Rochester. The department operates a Mobile Mammography Van that provides access to underserved and underinsured patients across our region.

Recognized as a world leader in radiological imaging, education, and research, the Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester has approximately 105 faculty and is highly innovative with transparent salary and incentive structures, upper limit of weekend coverage hours, and a residency leadership program.

There are many opportunities to develop research in collaboration with clinical colleagues as well as basic science/engineering groups at the university. Multiple academic activity tracks allow promotion through scholarly education or clinical activity. Compensation and benefit packages are highly competitive, including tuition benefits.

• A  certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
• Fellowship training or equivalent experience in breast imaging
• Must be or be eligible to obtain a New York State Medical License
• Experience with structured reporting software and automated breast density assessment preferred

Annual Salary Range: $474,000 to $515,000
